Brenda Alejo
Brenda Alejo, Associate Director at Parent Support Network, is a dedicated Rhode Island leader with 25 years of community experience supporting diverse families, children, youth, and adults in areas of juvenile justice, child welfare, parental education, and the wraparound process. As a proud Dominican, mother of four adult sons, and grandmother, she champions mental health support for families. With a personal insight into community challenges Brenda nurtures and empowers individuals and families with unique needs, navigating complex systems and advocating for the rights of families, children, youth, and young adults.
Brenda fosters sensitivity for culturally responsive communities, addressing social determinants of health with equity, and promoting healing and well-being. In Brenda’s role of 25 years at Parent Support Network of RI she has created a proactive, supportive relationship with the Department of Children, Youth and Families at all levels to support a healthy process of reunification of families. Brenda is the Family Engagement Coordinator for the Children’s Behavioral Health System of Care contract in collaboration with the Executive Office of Health & Human Services (EOHHS).
